I'm back.... didn't mean to take a 6 month hiatus!

Wow, it sure has been a long time since I've posted on here! I admit, I have neglected my blog in favor of my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Heidi-Kreitz-Photography/32179020635), as it seems I spend a lot of my time (more than I should!) on Facebook anyway.

I have had a busy spring, with sessions and a new endeavor for this year, taking photos for our local baseball association (http://wilmingtonbaseball.net/). I have been taking action photos from the games and then posting them on my website for people to view and order. If you'd like to check them out, you may visit http://www.heidikreitzphotography.com/clients/ and enter the password WBSA to view photos from the different games. It has been a lot of fun!!

That said, here are some shots from a few sessions this spring...

I will add more from spring sessions in a different post, as well as some of the action baseball/softball shots. Those are so fun!!

New Seniors on the Blog - Twins from Kaneland High School!

At the risk of sounding REALLY old, these two are my husband's cousin's kids... and I remember when they were babies!! Wow, how the years and flown by, and now they are seniors. They sure have grown up... look how gorgeous Miss A is now!!! I love this one in the grass...

And this one in the field is great too!!!

We can't forget N... who, as a typical guy, wasn't over-the-top about getting a whole bunch of pics taken!! He was a good sport about it though... look how handsome :)

And we got to do some football pics too... those were fun!

MY FAVORITE!!! It turned out so cool... thanks for working with my "vision" (even though he probably had no idea what I had in mind for this one)!!!

Thanks so much for coming all the way out here - I hope you enjoyed your session (at least a little) and love your preview!!

More Gorgeous Senior Girls...

I've been sitting on these images of two of my 2011 Senior Reps for a while now... we took the outdoor ones at the end of July and the studio ones a week or so later! I've been so swamped with other stuff I haven't had a chance to edit all the studio pics yet! I realized it's just WRONG of me not to share these gorgeous photos with the world, so here are a few...

First, Emily... my nature-loving, cowboy-boot-wearing, kid-loving neighbor...

(OMG... can you say AMAZING!!!)

And her twin sister, Kate... who is artsy and fun (and thinks I'm "hip for a mom" so of course I love her LOL)...

(MY FAVORITE!!!! I want to put her on a magazine!!!)

And a fun one of the twins together... I love that they have such different and unique personalities, yet they are still friends and can make each other laugh. Awesome!!

Since Kate and Emily are Senior Reps for me... find them (and tell them how much you love their photos!), ask for a card, and you will receive $25 off your session fee!

More Twins :)

...except these twins are a little older, wearing gorgeous First Communion Dresses, and didn't cry quite as much :)

Here are a couple individual shots of the girls looking all sweet and innocent...

I thought I would try a different kind of processing on this photo... I think I really like this look!

And then I asked myself... how can you tell when the session is over? When the 'models' have had enough? This photo speaks for itself...

At least they're still smiling as they try to throw each other to the ground... their Mom, on the other hand, probably not smiling QUITE as much since they're wearing WHITE dresses!

Twin Bundles of Joy :)

I was so excited to photograph boy/girl twins last week!! Mr. S and Miss P decided to start the session out on their own schedules - when one was sleepy, the other was ready to eat or just look around for a while - so while they were each doing their own thing, I started out with some individual shots.

Here is Miss P, with those chubby, squishable little cheeks :)

And sweet Mr. S... who can resist a baby who smiles when he sleeps?!

We FINALLY got them both to sleep for just a few minutes at the same time, and I worked feverishly (which means I worked really hard, but also was sweating like I had a fever in the oven-like studio) to get some of these shots of them together. I always tell the parents that if we want the babies to be comfortable sleeping in their birthday suits, then we need to be prepared to sweat a little!!

And it was worth it? Look at these two sweeties and you be the judge...

Finally, how about some too-cute-for-words, sleeping twins in a giant bowl?

Yeah, that'll do for now :)

I had a lot of fun meeting these two (and their big brother, who was SOOOO very patient through this super-long --not to mention hot-- session). Hope you enjoy your preview!

Junior Prom

These three beautiful girls are my neighbors, and I have watched them grow so much in the past several years. Hard to believe they were only 12 when I met them all... look at them now!! Gorgeous :)

One of the twins together...

H goofing around in the studio waiting for her date to arrive....

Since I still haven't gotten model releases from the other two guys, I can only post one of K and her boyfriend M. Aren't they cute together? :)

Hard to believe that I'll soon be taking pics of their little sister heading off to her HS dances... and then my own daughter E in a few years... sob! Time flies way too fast, which is why I believe it's so important to capture these special moments.

Three crazy girls!!

When I first met L, J, and K last year, I never thought I would be describing them as "crazy"... J and K (who are twins, although you wouldn't guess to look at them!) were SO shy it took them over a year to start talking to me!! Now, you can't get them to stop!! This session was filled with giggles, faces, and just general weirdness...

Their mom, M, said she wants a photo of her girls that shows them as they really are, their true personalities... I think these definitely fit the bill! And, she loves b/w almost as much as I do, so we're on the same wavelength here - woo hoo!

I've been waiting for three siblings to try this pose (since I only have two kids myself) and was so excited to put these three girls to work! I had originally envisioned this with a serious expression, but since they couldn't seem to stop laughing I just had to roll with it!

And finally, a closeup in color of each girl. The oldest, L, is a dear friend of my daughter's... what a smile!

And the twins... when I first met them I couldn't remember their names so I just called them blond twin and brown twin...

So M, I hope you enjoy this little preview... it's just a sampling of the great photos we got from this session!!

Double Trouble... in the form of identical 4-yr old boys!!

I had my work cut out for me with these twins... thankfully they were dressed in different color pants! As it was, I barely stood a chance at telling them apart - I kept calling them the wrong names and the poor kids didn't know who I was talking to!

Luckily, we started with the family pics at the lake and then moved over to the waterfall, because by the end these boys were both soaked head to toe!! While "N" splashed nicely in the water, "A" just about scared us all half to death because he kept running and skidding to a halt right at the top of the waterfall... Mom and Dad are going to have their hands full with that little daredevil!

And finally, my new fave ... I *heart* this shot! Now if I could only choose between color and b&w...
