He's the older brother... but no pink stripes in his hair!

A couple weeks back I did a session of N's younger sister, with the pink stripes in her hair. We also got a couple shots of the kids together, but ran out of time before we could get any of N alone. So we did a quick mini-session last week with just him...

And he told me he "didn't know how to smile"... I think this proves him wrong!!

And this is a look that his mom and I frequently see from him... kind of that "yeah, sure, right" look when we tell him something that he's not quite ready to believe!

We got some nice shots out of this quick little session, I hope you enjoy your preview:)

Sweet kissable cheeks!!

I was so excited about this session last Sunday... this little doll was a newborn that I photographed back in the spring, and now she is 6 months old!!! I can't believe how quick the time has gone.

When I saw Miss A, I was SO happy b/c I knew I'd get some great shots - look at those squishy cheeks and adorable button nose!! She had the most adorable smile... can you tell I just adore her :)

She was such a good sport too... the grass was pretty wet (9:00 a.m. in the fall results in some pretty dewy grass) so we had to put her on some blankets, and I also set up my backdrop with paper at the park too which worked well, except for when she would plop onto her stomach and try to army crawl away!!

Here she is... getting ready to make a break for it...

So then we decided to contain her... everyone loves a baby in a basket :)

And finally, my favorite.... how can you not love this little doll!!!

C, thanks for bring Miss A back to me... I had so much fun working with you both again!

Cutest Ring Bearer EVER!!!

OK, so I might be slightly biased since the cutest ring bearer EVER also happens to be my son! But I think you'll agree that he certainly looked handsome in his tux (which he was VERY disappointed that we didn't get to keep) and his cool spiky yair... plus he did his job so well!!

Here are a few photos from my cousin Cindy's wedding... she and Anderson looked just great and the wedding was so much fun!! I wasn't there as the official photographer, but I couldn't resist a few shots from the big day... all taken at the reception at my aunt & uncle's house... it was all so lovely!

First, one of my daughter and son together... he was trying to get away but I got quick snap of them together before he escaped!

Next, a picture of the flower girl Maggie (the bride's dog) (yes, she is wearing a dress, makeup and has her nails done LOL!!) along with Ben... the other ring bearer really wasn't into having his picture taken and ran away.

Here is one of my daughter with my cousin Katie, one of the bridesmaids. I just love this photo - they both look just beautiful!!

And finally, one of the happy new couple with the flower girl and of course, the most handsome ring bearer ever!! OK, I'm done saying that now :)

Congrats to the newlyweds... and thanks for a great weekend!!

First day of school!

So, it's that time of year again... and this was a very bittersweet year for me. My daughter Emma started 3rd grade... this photo was taken on her first day when she went in for an hour and a half -what's the story with that, anyway?? She was SO excited about her new outfit... waiting to wear it on the first day was torture!

I know that my front porch isn't a very good spot for photos at that hour of the morning because of the direct sun, but it's kind of a tradition so we tried to work with it. You can see in the shadow that my son Ben is holding the reflector over his head to block the sun... my good little helper :)

And then the next day was Ben's first day of kindergarten... FULL DAY kindergarten!! What am I going to do with my baby gone all day???? He really wanted to have spiky hair and wear his jean shorts (he would wear them every day if I would let him, and informed me that two pairs is just not enough!)... and he picked out his own "handsome polo shirt" in green for the first day. Can't you just see how excited he is about his first day? He has the same teacher Emma had so he's know her for years and we all love her to death :)

They were both remarkably cooperative about me taking all these photos of them before school... I guess because they were so excited! Look how beautiful and sweet my kiddos are!

And one more of my sweet baby boy... look at those gorgeous eyes! Who is going to be my model to try out new photography experiments now that he's gone all day...

Sob, sob, sob... my baby is growing up!!
